problems accessing the internet. Barbados seems to be the only country in the world with so many free wireless internet hot spots all over the place. I was shocked in London by the wire access fees. Anyway the website is updated and also our sister website for the diocesan assembly: www.onechurchourmission.com
As usual there are many events at St. Dominic’s and in Barbados. The hurricane season is again with us and we look upon the Lord’s protection every day. We pray for our prime minister who has a serious health problem. Although he is Methodist he often visits our church with his catholic wife Mara and their children. There are still good memories of our pilgrimage to Poland and Italy. Pope Benedict, during his general audience, mentioned Barbados twice.. (read more)
Archbishop promised to tell of us everywhere, and to support us. Maybe his positive opinion will reach the Pope? We would be more than happy to welcome Pope Benedict to Barbados :-)
Finally there is a new Pallottine priest who arrived recently to our region. Fr. Andy is staying for his cultural and pastoral training for 6 months in St. Lucia
and will arrive in Barbados later to strengthen our Pallottine Community. We are getting ready for the annual Feast of St. Dominic’s. This year Abp Rivas our Apostolic Administrator will come and bless the construction of our pastoral centre and the corner stone. We will also celebrate his bishop’s ordination anniversary. As you see there is lots of news.
More you will find on our website, look carefully at the different sections.
May God bless you +
